Who are We?
The Assault Response &
Care Centre is a community program of Brockville General
Hospital working in partnership with a Community Advisory Committee.
Funding is provided by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care,
and the Ministry of Community, Family and Childrens Services.
Donations are always welcome.
Mission
As a program of the Brockville
General Hospital, the Assault Response and Care Centre provides
services that optimize the self-worth, the dignity, and the recovery
of each child, woman and man who seeks our support, and fosters
the creation of a community free from sexual and domestic violence.

is critical to the delivery of our support and services.

of those we serve must be integrated into the planning, development
and implementation of our services.

Mandate
The Assault Response & Care Centre is mandated and
funded to assist sexual assault survivors and survivors of domestic
violence obtain appropriate services and support as close to home
as possible.
Services
Confidential services
are provided free of charge to women, men, teens and children who
have been affected by sexual assault and/or sexual abuse. Services
are also provided to women who are survivors of domestic
violence and require medical documentation. Services include:
nursing and medical care at Brockville General Hospital Emergency
for adults
crisis and short-term counselling
sexual assault/sexual abuse support group for women
workshops, presentations, newsletters, resource library, website
public awareness events
Resources
The Centre has a Resource
Centre, which includes a wide range of pamphlets, books, articles,
videos and other pertinent information regarding sexual assault
and abuse, domestic violence and other related and relevant topics.
If you are interested in borrowing some of these resources free
of charge, please contact the Centre for an appointment at 345-3881
or drop-in during the hours of 9:00am 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Volunteers
The Centre would not
be able to fully operate without the help of dedicated volunteers.
Volunteers are required for public awareness
events, office work and our community advisory committee.
