Volunteering
at the Assault Response & Care Centre
Volunteering at the Centre
Volunteers are essential to the smooth running of programs and
services at the Centre. Regular volunteer opportunities are
available on our community advisory committee and in our office. We
have time limited and project specific opportunities when we are
holding public
awareness events. If you are interested in volunteering, please call our
office.
Public awareness events
Volunteers are always in need in order to assist in the planning of
public awareness events. Awareness events generally run September to
June and one of our standard public awareness events is the December
6th Vigil.
Office volunteers
Filing,
photocopying, updating the resource library and the website are just a few options
for those wishing to volunteer in our office.
Community Advisory Committee
Members
of this Committee assist the Coordinator and staff in strategic
planning initiatives, ensuring quality services and operations are
provided and assisting in Community Development initiatives. The
CAC meets bi-monthly.
For
more information about the Centres volunteer opportunities,
please feel free to contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
